Liberace Museum review

Unless you have a pathological aversion to camp, don't miss this place, a testament to Las Vegas's indefatigable dedication to the ersatz. On display are Mr Showmanship's rhinestones, stage jewellery (including a piano-shaped ring set with 260 diamonds), sequinned jackets, hot pants and a genuine mirrored Rolls-Royce. More than a dozen of his finest antique pianos are also on show; on selected afternoons, Wes Winters' extraordinary tribute offers a taste of the deeply sinister pianist and entertainer. As Las Vegas rediscovers what it once meant to be 'Vegas, baby!', this shrine to excess and bad taste is a kitschy storehouse of the city's heritage.
