Border Grill review Rate it

Imported from Santa Monica, this Angeleno take on Mexican food is not especially authentic, but works a treat regardless. Mary Sue Milliken and Susan Feniger, frontwomen of popular show Too Hot Tamales, have given some classic dishes a twist (the quesadillas are a great call), but also look to their home state for inspiration: witness the deep-fried snapper, served over refried beans. Lively stuff.
