Mesa Grill review Rate it

Rather like Bobby Flay, the celebrity chef behind this popular restaurant, the Mesa Grill is a little on the brash side. The room itself is dazzling in all the best ways, a flourish-packed riot of colour and energy. But the nuevo-American food, like Flay, could do with a little more subtlety. The likes of pork tenderloin with sweet potato tamale and crushed pecan butter are fine, but they read better than they sound and don't justify their high price tags.
