What separates this smallish retail experience from other Strip malls is its vow to 'break the chains': it leases its stores only to companies otherwise absent from Vegas. It's a savvy move, and one that brought the city its first Urban Outfitters (which has since also opened in the Miracle Mile Shops); Lik Design, featuring beautiful palm wood furniture by Aussie designer Bruce Dowse; and the Reading Room, the city's best independent bookstore. The handful of great boutiques includes Fornaria, Nora Blue, Elton's Men Store and Max&Co; other highlights include the modern furniture, lighting and accessories at Blankspace, and Lush Puppy, which carries fashion-conscious accessories for cats and dogs. For nibbles, try the Burger Bar. The mall is located on a bridge that connects Mandalay Bay to the Luxor, and is accessible from either resort.
