  • Popped along to The Make Lounge launch last night and realised that a) making paper flowers and funky badges is harder than it looks so therefore b) I have no artistic ability whatsoever. Shouldn't have been such a shock, still have the scars from the puncture wounds when I tried to learn to knit. Still, The Make Lounge is a pretty two-floored space full of sewing machines, jars of buttons and big tables to make a mess on.

Owner is a sassy American called Jennifer who kindly supplied tiers and tiers of jam-filled cupcakes. Snuck off with a couple which made walking back to Angel tube in the rain an (almost) pleasant experience.
