  • ‘Do you know what this reminds me of? That orgy scene in “Eyes Wide Shut”,’ breathes a fellow guest at Killing Kittens. Maybe, but this is far sexier.

A club for ‘the world’s sexual elite’, its secret London home is a stately mansion where masked and basqued punters sip Champagne before heading upstairs to get naked – if they want to. Everyone here’s been vetted by photograph in advance: it’s strictly young, good-looking couples and single girls only – a far cry from the suburban swingers on late-night TV.

‘We are very elitist, but that’s what it’s all about,’ says founder Emma Sayle. ‘True, not everyone’s a supermodel but all members are attractive, aspirational, successful professionals aged 20-45.’ She’s right. In the months I’ve been going to KK parties, I’ve met TV producers, doctors, millionaire businesspeople, and, okay, some strippers: but they’ve all been intelligent as well as damn sexy.

It takes a few glasses of bubbly before you have the courage to mingle. In the bar everyone is checking everybody out, while attempting to look casual. Men typically dress smartly, most women favour corsets and cocktail dresses, while the brave just turn up in lingerie. Music is subdued: the main sounds are clinking glasses and quiet chat. Upstairs there is a huge bed which can – and does – hold dozens of writhing bodies.

It usually starts with a few couples having sex on the bed, while others watch. Girls sometimes pair off or start threesomes. ‘There’s a lot of girl-on-girl action,’ says Sayle. ‘We get a lot of bi-curious girls coming.’ She reckons KK is much more female-friendly than your average swingers party: ‘Girls make the rules. Men can’t approach girls, they wait to be approached, and not everyone gets naked – people go as far as they want. Half the people who come keep their clothes on and just turn up for a great party.’

If you’re open-minded enough, it certainly makes for an interesting night out – there’s a hedonistic, Bacchanalian vibe helped in no small part by the lavish setting and the open bar. It’s liberating just to watch the frank sexual expression and trust between partners. I met a married couple who attend parties with a girlfriend they met at KK – and select newcomers are invited to join the party. It’s no exaggeration to say that for some people, Killing Kittens has changed the way they think and live.

While KK encourages female sexual empowerment, Sayle is more post-feminist in her agenda: ‘I think feminism’s gone too far and in the process taken away women’s sexuality and sensuality, which is what KK is all about.’

Sayle has plans to expand. ‘We’re launching a lingerie and toy range, increasing the monthly parties, taking it to NYC, Sydney and other cities in the UK.’ Let’s hope that as Killing Kittens gets bigger, it only gets better: as Sayle says, the exclusivity is what it’s all about.

Killing Kittens is this Friday at a secret central London location, www.killingkittens.com

As I noted below; dogging with a dress-code.
KK Pr reps have obviously been upset by this...

Dogging with a dress code, as noted below.
Think I touched a PR nerve with that one...

I go to these parties and absolutely love them.... simply because they have a completely different feel to them as a women. In the other places I felt people following me around and "prey"ing on me and I hated having to very politely say "thanks, but no thanks" to men who were very much older (and heavier) than I would ever consider. At KK I am not faced with ANY of this as only girls may approach men. As a single girl that means I get to meet potential singles online at KK first or at the party I will be approached by a girl who wants to share me/watch me with her man. I also love the fact that there is an age cut-off and a visual vetting, not necessarily for beauty but I spend a vast amount of time and money looking after my body and staying in shape and I treasure the opportunity to play with others with this mind-set. Absolutely love KK!!!!

Dogging with a dress-code...and equally sordid.

I was wondering if there are bi-curious males at these parties?
I'm a young woman who has a fetish for watching and getting stuck in the middle of two lovely men as long as they like to do each other for my pleasure. I find it funny that it's more acceptable for woman to be bi with a man but I get the horror look when I say I love watching two men make love.

As some parties are not mentioned I feel I should make an addition to other alternative nights out in London.
Killing Kitten has indeed the highest profile but attracts also too many newbie’s who are only there out of curiosity.
Fever Parties was the first and remains still today the best sexiest soiree attracting true swingers with a touch of class. This is the real thing!
City Slickers Parties is catching up very fast with its unique style aiming at giving ladies the chance to live out some fantasies and get as much attention as they want. It seems a very safe environment and the ladies are tempted rather than pressured into enjoying themselves.

    Hi,
Is this there every day? If not, then when is the next date? What is the entry fee?

I wish to visit this place and have fun! Can I come alone and enjoy watching?

Maybe we should establish a 'selective' club for 40s and 50s who look after themselves, look young/er and are still very interested in creative no strings sex. There are many of us around! And we need not exclude the under 40s for those that are looking for some experienced sexy partners who have a few more years than them!

I am a middle aged Indian lady who is 53 years old and would love to come to the club but the cut off age is 45. If I say I look 45 which I do, would I be able to go attend?
Nick I am new to this scene and would go with you if you took me.

I'd be interested to see the kinds of people who go to these parties. Not in a judgemental way, just out of curiosity..

Have any of you people heard of google?? Just type in Killing Kittens and join.
With all the infidelity that goes on in modern society I think people should be open-minded and honest enough to realise that we don't live in the 50s anymore - society has changed and so have our values. This kind of sexual expressionism is what will keep relationships healthy.
And at the end of the day, why is stripping and lap dancing clubs acceptable but not an open consensual sexual fantasy-reality of beautiful, intelligent professionals?

Shame on you Time Out for promoting this as an activity for normal, healthy or even (dare I say it) aspiring individuals. How far we have come as a technologically advanced society, and yet how low we have fallen as a civilisation. The mass orgies of Rome, like those of any other kingdom, merely hailed the imminence and inevitability of their downfall. Recreational sex is for those who would prevent all the societal goods of pro-creational sex; marriage, family, stability, self respect and respect for others, from becoming the norm. But a society without such goods is set for a rapid and spectacular decline. By promoting such self destructive behavior Time Out is clearly intent on corroding the common good and contributing to the steady decline and fall of this once great Kingdom. God help us if indeed our future queen is good 'mates' with the reprobate whose bread and butter it is organise and profit from such depravity and misadventure. Shame on you Time Out.

why are you promoting this, time out? nothing wrong with swinging but this is real commercialisation of sex.
