London 2012 Open Weekend Domino Project
This project in east and south east London, run by Station House Opera as part of the CREATE09 multi-disciplinary arts festival, involves thousands of breeze blocks set up like a line of dominoes through the five host boroughs for the 2012 Olympics. Starting at mid afternoon in the middle of Mile-End Park, the blocks that make up the four-mile moving sculpture will topple one by one, the line eventually crossing the Thames to finish at dusk at the Old Royal Naval College in Greenwich. London 2012 Open Weekend is an umbrella festival encompassing a wide range of events marking the fact that it's now three years to the Games (www.london2012.com/openweekend).
