The August bank holiday is traditionally given over to a crowd partying along to Europe's biggest celebration of music, movement and masquerade, featuring the spectacle of floats, the music of steel bands, reggae and a plethora of sound systems along the three-mile route. Sunday is Children's Day, with an emphasis on families and younger festival goers.
