Went on Saturday to see Gladiator. Got a VIP ticket that got us a parking space at the front. Even though it rained it was a great fun night out.
We just went to see Children of Men at Pinewood with Streetcar. It was an excellent evening, especially being parked inside the water area that they used to film one of the scenes from the film in. They also serve some good looking hot dogs and veggie burgers.
I think we're going with Streetcar, they have a special offer on if you go with one of their cars, it's like half price rental and includes the ticket. It says it's open to none members too, and they're doing it all month... https://www.streetcar.co.uk/drivein/films.aspx for a list of what films theyre doing.
It's so cool driving past all those working studios where so many classic films have been made, and then watch a Pinewood film on that massive screen! A really unique and fun evening out.
i had the VIP service there - its soooo cool... waitress service to your car and you get to park near the front. Their drive in is such a brilliant concept!

Anyone spot what extras you get for the 'VIP' ticket?
I went last week to see Mission Impossible - I didn't realise until I got there that it was also a world record screening - biggest screen a movie has been projected onto - it was a great film to see on such a massive screen! Had a really fun time with my boyfriend.. and we had the foresight to take a duvet with us. Its also a great idea for peeps with babies - my sister went with her newborn and no-one cared if he cried or needed a feed. Basically, definitely worth going. Never done anything like it in London.
I went on Saturday and it was quite funny. Make sure your car is warm though! It's definitely a novelty and the screen is huge. They do have a little man wandering around selling popcorn and drinks! Just be careful if you are sitting in the back of the car though we ended up with three people on the front seat.
Has anyone been to the Pinewood Drive in - it sounds good and I was thinking of buying tickets?
