Exhibits include first editions of Rousseau's works such as 'On the Social Contract' (1762), frontispieces and translations. The show examines Rousseau's activity across various fields including philosophy, politics, economics and education, along with his work as a composer and best-selling novelist, and explores his posthumous reception by conservatives and revolutionaries alike.
