'British Museum Underground Station' 'British Museum Underground Station' - EO Hoppé

Time Out says Rate it

This show of 150 portraits and documentary-style photographs of everyday British life by the German-born EO Hoppé (1878-1972) includes around 60 images of London, from records of waxworks being created at Madame Tussaud's to the ever rarer Pearly Kings and Queens. Hoppé found particular success as a celebrity photographer (this exhibition presents shots of notables from Margot Fonteyn and Ezra Pound to George V and Mussolini), and was especially interested in documenting street life, often using a hidden camera to capture his subjects.
