There's no need to drown in mass-produced tat in the run-up to Dec 25 when design fairs are this good. Christmas present ideas from the 120 designers at the ELDS range from the quirky to the luxurious, and include furniture, lighting, ceramics, jewellery and both adult and children's clothes. There's also a kids' area with outer-space themed craft activities, and it all takes place in the grand environs of the restored Shoreditch Town Hall.
