OVERLY-SWEET and rather TOP-HEAVY on the SUGAR!
This is really a "Sugarcraft' purchasing experience and NOT a "Baking" show....not one stand with anything remotely related to the craft of BAKING a cake....Britain should rule as THE baking centre of the world: our history introduced all sorts of wonderful ingredients to the country's cooks on which were created a huge array of DELICIOUS cakes and baked goods.....this show is just the sugar icing and is NOT about baking. Don't bother to buy a ticket if baking is your interest. If "cake' means a decorated base with icing of every possible hue, in every imaginable shape, from handbag and matching shoes to "Leaning Tower of Pisa" wedding cake then you will be able to gorge yourself before buying up enough materials to ice your way home. Pity the organiser's seemed to be unaware of the INGREDIENTS required to make an actual CAKE. As a teacher of traditional afternoon tea baking I came home with a real dose of the "Sugar Blues'.
