The Shakespeare Olympics begin April 22 at the Globe
The Guardian opens its doors to the public with a weekend of talks, events and workshops featuring some of the paper's best-known faces alongside authors, artists and commentators. Among the 300 speakers are David Miliband, Jon Snow, economist Jeffrey Sachs, Grayson Perry, Ian McEwan and 'Shame' director Steve McQueen. You can hear from cartoonists Steve Bell and Martin Rowson and get crossword tips from the paper's setters. There'll be cookery demos from food writers Felicity Cloake and Allegra McEvedy, a music quiz, pop-up performances, live sports podcasts and a chance to put your questions to the paper's 'Secret Footballer' columnist.
