-Venn St Market - New Food/Flower Market This Weekend-
Venn St is the location for a new monthly street market in Clapham, starting Nov 27-29th. A three day market running the last weekend of every month (except December, which is 11-13th) the market has a fantastic range of artisan produce and is a genuine alternative to shopping at the supermarket whilst supporting your local community.
Fridays and Saturdays are all about the food and Sundays are flower market day. Hot food and great coffee will be available all weekend.
Traders have been sourced from all over London and include local butcher Moen's and Clapham South fishmonger Moxon's as well as a number of Borough Market favourites such as Neal's Yard Dairy, Flour Power and Secrett's Farm. Check www.sourcedmarket.com for a full list of traders.
Meet the traders and find out where your veg is grown, how long your cheese has been matured for or what's in season - and take the opportunity to try before you buy.
Venn St Market is operated by Sourced Market, who design, build and manage markets at the best of Britain's music, cultural and sporting events. Sourced Market also have just opened a permanent market inside St Pancras station, making fresh produce available to London's commuters seven days a week.
The aim of Venn St Market is to connect local people with fantastic artisan producers and local farmers and to cut out the middlemen between producer and consumer. Markets are vibrant street shows, unique to their locations and the communities they serve – even more so when compared to the homogeneous supermarket aisles. They encourage local food production, better reflect the seasonal nature of food, reduce food miles and packaging and support the local economy. Markets help increase the diversity of food on offer and better provide for different ethnic communities. Show your support by shopping at the market!

The largest Christmas Fair in South London will be 29th November at Dulwich College, Dulwich SE21. Over 130 stalls selling goods at every price point for all of your Xmas needs; roast hog, mulled wine and many other food and drink options, plus a variety of entertainment for all of the family - including Father Xmas and his reindeer - will make this a great day out for all.
