  • The Science Museum's interactive gallery for kids has undergone a £4 million refit and been relocated to a larger space. Aimed at children aged eight to 14, the 50 exhibits include updated classics and new activities to stimulate young minds. Kids can launch a rocket, control a magnetic cloud, capture a multicoloured shadow and turn their head into a sound box. A photographic history of the children's space at the museum and early advertising images for the galleries are also featured.

Just to confirm the above, Launchpad is still open and going strong - it's a permanent gallery after all! Go visit - you'll not be disappointed!
