  • These unique images display the technique of using colour tinting on photographic images, a practice popular on the subcontinent in the second half of the nineteenth century. The show includes portraits of Indian rulers standing against dramatic backdrops and court images capturing the period of the British Raj from the 1880s to the 1930s.
