Hampstead Heath, Ham and Petersham
Cornwall’s Wild Food School is finally coming to London. They will be arranging foraging walks on Hampstead Heath and also around Ham and Petersham. They’re not until April, but you’ll want to book now (www.wildfoodschool.co.uk). And although mushroom foraging is usually an autumnal affair, pun-friendly spore fans Fungi To Be With (www.fungitobewith.org) holds spring fungi forays for beginners in mid-April on Hampstead Heath. The London Sword & Dagger Club has recently started running new classes in Western/Historical European Martial Arts and Historical Fencing
Thursdays at
the 52 Club,
Gower Street,
London, WC1E 6EB
£5 per lesson
The London Sword & Dagger Club is an historical European martial arts club based in Central London. Formerly part of Schola Gladiatoria, we primarily study the medieval Italian manuscripts of Fiore dei Liberi in the early 15thC. We also study Joseph Swetnam's rapier and Sir William Hope's smallsword.
I did the Ukulele 6 week course. It was great. I'm still playing and loving it.
I have found the most amazing workshop in South East London hosted by a theatre company call Ta Na Deptford! They meet upstair in The Amersham Arms in New Cross on Wednesdays at 7pm and you are invited to try on crazy costumes from a huge collection and take part in spontaneous dance/performance art! Anything goes and it's only a £5!! I highly recommend, I go every week!
it is my first time here, like the website, so trying out.
