New 3D audio-visual film intstallation.
It's just about possible to summarise in a sentence the idea behind Iain Forsyth and Jane Pollard's new film 'Radio Mania: An Abandoned Work'. It's a two-screen, 3D audio-visual installation showing a recording of a staged rehearsal of a script based on an updated adaptation of an early 3D silent movie, made in 1922, about a scientist attempting to transmit communications to Mars. What viewers made of the original movie in 1922 isn't known but what viewers will make of this is a subtle but perception-bending mix of time, memory, space and media. (HS)
