There is so much to see start in Walthamstow Village (Orford Road) for places to eat, then go down to Hoe Street and visit the Grove Cafe (behind the old Cinema) to see the E17 Designers Market and 3 open studios-open 2-6 and buy some early hand made christmas presents then, finally, over the road to the Old Rose and Crown where there is a special event publicising the last chance to save the old cinema-including live piano, films for kids and live music from Ed Tenpole Tudor! Use the Trail Guide (available in places in Orford Road) to make sure you don't miss anything!
Visited this and was definitely worth it, there's a wondereful exhibition called 'Meet' - 15 photographers in an old warehouse space - I would highly recommend seeing this, the standard was very high indeed. It's venue 28 http://www.e17arttrail.co.uk/index.php?page=101&passed_index=115
Ventured east last Saturday and it was well worth it! A great collection of outsider art. Check the trail guide before you go. A good starting point is Orford Road.
