Chto delat?, 'Perestroika Songspiel', 2008
Chto Delat? - the Russian collective of artists, philosophers and writers, whose name translates as the classic interrogatory of revolutionary socialism 'What is To Be Done?' - bring an unequivocal directness. Wall drawings, with rousing appropriations from Bertolt Brecht and Jean Luc Godard, demonstrate how the academic virtuosity of socialist realism can be adapted for radical programmes.
