This exhibition at the British Museum explores the emerging role of London as a world city as viewed through the prism of Shakespeare's plays. Exhibits from the time include maps, prints, drawings, paintings, armour, books and coins, from the British Museum 's collection and from across Europe. Part of the World Shakespeare Festival.
