these aren't the best 'street' artists, just the best at promoting themselves! you have to look a bit harder to find the real artists and not just the PR experts.
Don, you might try just looking outside of Shoreditch rather than overseas, theres plenty of talent here.

Brighton struggling artist Grant Dejonge, winner of artrepublic Street Art Competition scaled the wall behind London Graphic Centre in Covent Garden last Saturday to remind the public of the homeless situation. Dejonge has recreated his image entitled ‘Lost’ on to a 7 x 3 metre canvas which is currently hanging on the 4-storey wall behind London Graphic Centre. Check it out.

I like street art as much as the next guy but if this is all england have to turn out then it's a sorry state of affairs. Rubbish sells for big bucks in this country simply because there are now a bunch of pretencious street art galleries in the west selling guff to corps who buy it as an investment or trend purchase. check brazil, italy, spain or anywhere apart from england folks!
