Time Out says
Recent RCA graduate George Young's artworks carefully split the difference between sculpture and painting, rationalism and randomness. Unframed, an airbrushed-looking painting on paper – of a figure reaching down for something – sits above leaning wooden structures somewhere between stretchers and window frames. Little here feels truly accidental, and if the relations between the elements lack a visible master key, Young's skill is to sustain the illusion that there is one. (MH)
