Jesse Wine: Big Pictures

The Royal College of Art grad fresh from his solo show at the Baltic, here, sticks to two dimensions with a series of handmade ceramic tile works – which he refers to as ‘paintings’ – that flatten hierarchical distinctions between high and low culture. Highlights include a tasteful, Morandi-esque still life of buff-coloured bottles infiltrated by a Sports Direct mug and a section of his bedroom floor.
