An exhibition of historical and contemporary photographs, including previously unseen images, highlighting political aspects of the Olympic Games. The show examines the ways in which the Games of the modern era have been touched by international events and social and political concerns – including Cold War diplomacy, the politics of race, freedom of speech, concerns about human rights, regeneration, security and corporate influence. Themes addressed in the exhibition are explored in a series of talks.
