The Australian Berlin-based artist’s latest exhibition takes it’s title from John Milton's 1645 poem 'L’Allegro' about people who are able to dance freely. Inspired by back alley German discotheques, Reka’s dancers are painted with clean fluid lines, juxtaposed with the angular, fragmented textures that overlay the female figures. Alongside these dynamic works are a series of painted found objects from the deserted warehouses of Berlin, such as rusty spray cans, bottles, and pans.
