Richard Galpin: Elephant (Ten Thousand Revolutions per Minute)

Elephant and Castle is the hidden subject in Galpin’s photographic works. Known for meticulously scoring the surface of photographs to reveal cityscapes as organic landscapes, Galpin has taken to using an industrial sander to give him more unexpected outcomes. A galvanized steel sculpture will echo the works in 3D form.
