A beautiful exhibition with socially insightful works. They portray, I think, the perplexing world we live in with overall a certain emotional detachment, but not without poetry . It is refreshingly uncynical and these portraits are also those of our times.

Was a bit disappointed in this must-visit annual exhibition, difficult to say why but had the impression previous years were more engaging?? Got the impression many of the photos were selected more on the basis of the story they represented and the deluge of background information than for the actual picture... It also struck me how many photographers already had an established career, with most of them already being well published or having exhibited earlier, suggesting it probably had less to do with the artists and more with the selections made... Next year I want to see more 'new', 'fresh' and 'emerging' talent and more engaging, daring and unique portraits please.
