Time Out says

Hundreds of manikin's will be used to create an uncanny installation.

The ICA's theatre is the perfect location to stage a tableau vivant. The German-born Canadian artist and curator, Ydessa Hendeles has been collecting wooden artist manikins of all sizes and period for the past 30 years. These fascinating wooden models are arranged together in a site-specific installation that replicates a ceremonial gathering or an auction in which they all seem to concentrate their attention onto one single manikin. Here art imitates life in disturbing yet intriguing circumstances.
