The Chiswick House camellia collection contains rare and historically important examples of these spring-flowering shrubs, including 'Middlemist's Red', thought to be one of only two surviving examples in the world. The collection is housed in the Grade I-listed conservatory, designed by Samuel Ware in 1813, in the grounds. There are camellias for sale and experts on hand to give advice on how to grow them.
