‘Dungeon Lates’ addresses two key shortcomings that, for a certain kind of grown-up, hinder the London Dungeon’s usual daytime experience: the presence of teenagers and the absence of booze.
This 90-minute, adults-only tour of the Dungeon’s new and improved digs in Westminster Bridge Road features all the usual thrills, spills and streams of projectile vomit, along with appearances by Sweeney Todd, Jack the Ripper, Guy Fawkes and a ‘virtual’ Henry VIII played by Brian Blessed. Doomed boat rides, a spooky Victorian sewer and something called Drop Dead (which thankfully lives up to only half its name) round out the experience.
A cash bar populated by some of the tour’s cast is open after the show – ideal for calming those frayed nerves.
