Work up an appetite with 'a historic drink' and a look around the museum's display of middle-class living rooms from 1600 to the present day before sitting down for a five-course meal featuring key dishes from each of the centuries you've just passed through - we're particularly intrigued by something called Dead Man's Arm from 1800. Each course will be introduced by Kate Colquhoun, food historian and author of 'Taste - The Story of Britain Through Its Cooking'. Guests are welcome to bring their own wine.
