Time Out says

Depending on who you speak to, Rory McEwen is either best known as a botanical artist, or as a folk musician. The Scotsman started out as the latter and, together with his brother Alex McEwen, spent the 1950s touring the US, putting out albums and playing TV gigs including slots on 'The Ed Sullivan Show' and 'Tonight'. In the mid-1960s, he decided to focus on his visual arts career, particularly botanical art. He went on to become an influential botanical artist and this exhibition is dedicated to his exemplary paintings and illustrations. Works range from the 1950s-1982 (the year McEwen passed away aged 50) and include pieces on loan from his family and private collectors. His impact on botanical art will also be explored, and work by fellow artists will be on display.
