Crazy Bear

Booked 10 days in advance at the Crazy Bear on Sunday 14th table of 4 for my Wife's Birthday and was required to sit in the Thai section due to talble avaiblitly which we were fine with. This is a seperate restaurant although plush the front end staff are different. We were seated order Champaigne and Sunday lunch with one ordering the 3 course menue and 3 ordering a 2 course menu option. The food delivery was ok time wise, but the vegtables came cold. It took 15 minutes and a reminder to get the replacement vegies. After the staff reached in front of my face and my wife's face 10 times I politely said something to the manager(f) as she served too on occation. Being the oldest staff assuming she knew how to put food on a table - do not reach across people when the table is accessable on four sides serve from the left would be an interesting concept too but smelling someone arm pit and stopping conversation in a fine dinning establishment....no! I was looked at and smerked at for saying something the staff clearly not getting it. After that service became sparse except for one staff who I think was embarressed. We asked for coffee and then the bill being polite and smiling after all wife's birthday. The bill came and we were oovercharged as if it were al'acart.Got an other bill and still wrong. Did the math for them on the bill and as explaining what was wrong, she said oh here is an other bill. Now with the third bill with only 10 items on it, there was only one overcharge on it for £3.00 for which we piad. We had cofffee at the main theme restaurant and mentioned the matter to the Manager (Alex?) who was appologetic and swerved us coffee etc on the house. The staff were great attentive to anyone in the restuarant. Word to the wise book in an go to the main restaurant until the staff is retrained. We will go back again due to the manager and staff in the main theme restaurant and the unique decor!
