  • The Dalston Jazz bar is wonderful "changed their direction from a club to a bar restaurant " if you a Live Jazz fan and deciding on a night of affordable dinner and jazz with guest who are timid about. Jazz in general , then The Dalston Jazz bar is a no- brainer choice . No cover charge , good food and a bar far from the music where conservations are not overwhelmed or intrusive , makes this a great Dalston locale.

  • This little bar is my favorite new find- even though it's been open since the early 90's . The menu is filled with surprises that tasted like heaven at half the price. And they squeeze in live music that is intimate and engaging .

  • I love this place! between the hairdresses and the retail shops you might not realize there is actually a real jazz bar on the corner. I heard about the jazzbar atmosphere but no one mention the restaurant and the live music. The restaurant was awesome , it was a blessing to have a place you can get real food at a decent price . I had a grilled lemon sole. Where can you find that in dalston. The night we went there was a really good jazz band playing ; lots of the customers were dancing and urging the band to keep on playing . Before, we knew it the bar was packed. There were people eating and clapping , it was like beening in the movie in Harlem. Then all a sudden the owner started dancing: what a dancer. He was still wearing his chef uniform. At first I thought he was just fooling arround ; boy! When he started to dance with the band , he was something else. Great night.

  • This is my favourite spot .yes, I'm inmy mid -30s ,and I preferred a different sort of place when I was in my 20s.This bar seems out if sync with the rest of the street because of its old Dalston vibe.people are actually enjoying themselves rather than standing around staring at each other. No one is pushing or crowding you. We even got free food at the end of the night. The owner is is truly dedicated to his bar; so different so real.
