  • Dont bother going. The place is minging dirty and in need of a good clean. The doorman is rude and arrogant. I won't be going back.

  • This place is a tatty shitbucket with rude and arrogant staff, filthy atmosphere, and a tragic crowd. Avoid at all costs!

  • "Fussy crowd"? Is that some kind of code for gay?! As a 'mo myself I've always found the crowd mercifully *un*fussy, luckily.

  • It's fun and pretty unique in my opinion. Great characters and music plus booze.

  • Seriously, whoever reviewed this place I would hate to image what you said about the decor of Les Trois Garcons... get a sense of humour. It's a diamond den.

  • The George and Dragon is the BEST pub in East London. Since the facelift of Hackney where I have lived for over 10 years, this place has stayed the least pretentious out of them all. If you compare the atmosphere to that of the Cat and Mutton on Broadway Market, the joie de vivre and openness is glorious. The bar staff are nice as is the doorman (how about smiling at him as you go in??), there's great drink on tap and as a woman you certainly don't get harassed by slimers. The DJs are second to none. Fact. ++ the animatronic donkey head chewing a carrot on the wall is my most favourite feature of interior decor in London, no joke. I would be so bold to say that for those who criticise this treasured realm, you have no pulse. Get thee to the Cat and Mutton tout de suite and leave us to make merry. ps. The Nelson is a nice place too perfect for some coziness by the fire. pps. There is a cashpoint less than 2 minutes away.

  • horrible place if you ask me. bar staff slow and rude and they think they too cool to serve you and dance around whilst you wait 10 mins for a drink. bar is always wet with beer and you end up with wet sleeves. they don't seem to clear the tables very often. people are always spilling drinks on you too. and i agree bouncer is rude sad thing is they don't care as the place is beaming with first-timers / tourists. i much prefer the Nelsons nearby which has a much more authentic feel and where the locals go these days. i used to like this place but it's not as good as it used to be.
