  • Went here for a comedy night recently and Sunday dinner the same week. On both occasions the visits were excellent. Comedy was great and I understand it is a regular occurrence on Tuesdays, so a welcome surprise there! The roast was also excellent with the floor and bar service top notch! Drinks are no more expensive than anywhere else in the area but the feel of the place is fantastic. Love the pictures of the acts that have played at the venue over the years, some very unexpected names I must say. Great pub.

  • I eat here a lot as it is our local pub and generally find the food very good. I like this pub a lot since it was refitted, the staff are super friendly and now recognise us as regulars, the wine list is good and I understand from my husband the beer is good as well. I do have one bug bear which is for some reason they are terrible at cooking chips, they are always dry on the inside! Please head to the prince of Wales in Pitney guys to take note if what chips should taste like!!!

  • Lovely decor and a nice atmosphere, but I'm afraid the food was so awful I'd struggle to return. A chicken and tarragon burger arrived lukewarm, and served with garlic mayo in a sweet brioche bun?! I'm not averse to trying exciting and new food, but this was obviously just a mess up with the ordering, and tasted downright strange. A friend was served some pasta sauce in a teacup as 'tomato soup'. Another's was cold in the middle, with a similarly meagre portion size. Unimpressed, guys.
