lived in new york and boston for 3 years and this does nothing but remind me of my favourite bars there, relaxed, comfortable friendly and knoledgable staff, beware though as they do get really busy, was told they are fully booked on the weekends a week in advance and there is no standing space, super small bar. We were lucky and nabbed to stols at the bar. so glad i found it, and ill be back soon.

Our first experience of a true cocktail bar. We must have been the oldest couple in the area, never mind the bar but we felt comfortable and at home. Welcomed at the door immediately even though we had made no booking. Mouth watering cocktails, friendly and knowledgeable staff, lovely ambience went towards a very pleasant hour. Will be back. Just a shame it's so far away.

How about Manager Forgets... Book this if you want to be badly let down, accused of inventing your booking and ruining an important date! I booked this bar in advance for our girls Christmas Drinks only to be told on checking my booking (by phone 3 days before) that 'You never made a booking' 'None of our staff take phone bookings' I recognised the Manager's voice as the one who took our booking, not once did he appologise for losing my information (one week before Christmas)! He basically called me a liar all the way through both of my phone calls, I had all of the insider info for arrival on the night..how long the table is held for etc... I can't belive the audacity of this incompetent man! An appology for ruining a well thought out and planned evening for 6 people would have been nice, I won't ever consider visiting this place in the future, and I'll definitely spread the word. Lounge Bohemia took our booking at late notice - a lovely Manager who sent a text confirmation of our booking, good to know there are some people who can do their jobs properly!

I love this place, been 2-3 times now and it's relaxed and laid back atmosphere. Amazing cocktails and wonderful bar staff... they saw that there we some whisky fans so the went off drinks list to create some cocktails for the gang! Will be back asap!

What a place. Visited last night. So New York - I can say this as an expert on the city that "never sleeps".

Tried to go to this bar last week - a girlfriend and I took two empty seats at the bar but were pointedly ignored for at least 15 minutes by both bartenders (no eye contact, no "I'll be with you in a moment", nothing). After I finally stood up and said "excuse me" to get the attention of a bartender, he glared at me and said "those seats are taken" quite rudely. (I'm not sure how we were supposed to have known that - there were no "reserved" signs and no sign at the entrance saying that we should wait to be seated.) We left and won't be going back.

Loved it loved it loved it! Friendly staff with old school hospitality and charisma! Pleasantly surprised with the cocktail menu - not just the usual flirty girly cocktails, but a menu that has real class. Great music, great atmosphere and decor. I will be back (alot!)

Best bar in Hoxton Square! Amazing Cocktails and relaxed atmosphere, nothing even in the whole of London can beat it

This is the best bar in Hoxton, the drinks are great, the music is great, the decor is great, the staff are great. It's not pretentious, and I like that they bring you water, as I always ask for a glass of tap water when I drink alcohol anyway. But I don't want more and more people to go so yes, you're right, it's simply AWFUL don't ever go here honestly!!
