I was so disappointed with Kaffbar tonight. Me & three friends went in for a last round (we'd been many times & liked it here) & after 5 minutes of getting our drinks, the music went off & the lights went on. Everyone was leaving & my friend felt bad as she just spent money on a round for 4 drinks & all of a sudden we had to leave.
She decided to ask a guy behind the bar for some paper cups so we could take our drinks with us. He out right said no, so we then mentioned that we hadn't expected the bar to close so soon after getting our drinks. The man behind the bar then said "it's not my f*cking responsibility to tell you when the bar closes". He then followed this by calling us "Posh twats". Rightfully we were very upset by this and we told him we felt he was being unreasonable, but he continued to swear at us & told us to leave.
On what planet is it ok to speak to customers like this....? We were decent people looking to have a final farewell drink in Brixton and we received this bitterness. After an hour of making our case, we still didn't get an apology from this man & got the usual treatment of, you're the drunk ones, you're in the wrong. Well I have you know, none of us were 'drunk' and none of us deserved to be spoken to like that. I don't care if you've worked 20 hours (which was by the way his excuse) that's your choice. To displace your anger on to well-meaning people is not ok.
Avoid this place like the plague... I will never be going back!!
Worst customer service I have ever experienced in London. The owner was incredibly rude from the moment we arrived. The 'latte' was hot water and instant coffee and tasted old. When we complained about the coffee we were basically told it's what we asked for. We left without drinking any of the coffee and we were refused a refund despite the fact it was not what we ordered. Awful place, never go there!
Best place for a drink in Brixton... And I have drunk in them all. Good drinks,Good people,Open late.
Love the twist on a classic bloody Mary! Great service and atmosphere! Deffo worth a visit when in Brixton.
Great drinks- great service. A gem outside the mass produced, mass serving rubbish that the tied houses and breweries provide. A new take on cocktails- go along an take a look! Wide variety of bottled and draught beers as well.
Not sure who is writing these positive reviews, but I have just eaten their jerk chicken and it tastes as if it was cooked a month ago and frozen. Revolting food, almost puked and disgusted and feel insulted that a restaurant could serve this to a customer. Not even my dog would eat this.
Great Bar, Awesome Staff, Funky cocktails and Amazing food. One of the best places in London; any time any day!
This is a really friendly little joint, we often pop in for a drink on the way back from eating in Brixton . They often have lots of different events on, Dj's, cake sales, art shows and live music. Down to earth staff and general nice vibe.
This place is the bees knees! If you find yourself buzzing around Brixton during the day then get yourself down here for a relaxed vibe and watch the world go by whilst sipping on a creamy cappucino or a mouth watering mojito, listening to great tunes. Things really get going in the evening with eclectic beats, caberet, live music & even burlesque on the monthly menu. What more could you ask for? Now my favourite bar in Brixton... I can't rate it enough!
