  • Don't forget the little beer garden out back, excellent wine menu and (in my humble opinion) the best sunday roast in Stokey

  • Love this pub. Great food, lovely staff and great vibe. we often go midweek for a candlelit dinner although we have been to our friend's wedding reception which was incredibly well organised and probably the best food at any event I have been to. Make sure you book for a roast on Sunday as seats are like gold dust and desevedly so.

  • Well worth making a trip away from the crowded pubs of Church Street - good beer, nice atmosphere and excellent service.

  • Excellent local a real fav with me - the roast is exemplary and the wine list is really broad - although as previous reviewers have stated it is a bit on the expensive side - my friend and i managed to spend £50 a head on sunday lunch of three courses and a bottle of wine which is a bit steep for just a local meal out.

  • Had a very good roast there last Sunday - friends eating the pork belly raved about getting a 12" slab of meat, and the roast potatoes were crispy, fluffy and as good as my mum's. Their Eton Mess is as good as mine! Aspalls at £3.60/pint meant we were in there 10 hours. Not the cheapest roast in town, but great food and a nice comfortable room meant it did us proud.
