  • Oh dear. Arrived with high hopes for their Sunday roast but the slice of beef was quite meagre. The chicken breast stuffed with Cumberland sausage and wrapped in bacon was boiled and bland. The roast potatoes were soggy [frozen?] and covered in thin gravy, along with the boiled broccoli [frozen?] and carrot [not the promised 'sautéed' veg]. The boss was duly apologetic and took the mains off the menu, but maybe the empty room means we weren't alone in finding the 5 star ratings here disappointing?

  • We went there yesterday for our Christmas dinner and had a lovely time. The food was delicious, the staff were great and the pub had a relaxed atmosphere. Will definitely go again!

  • A great pub. The Beer is always very fine, as is the food. Staff are friendly and have never been rude. Music is usually pretty good too. Best thing in my opinion are the home made scotch eggs which they make most nights and are awsome if you get one when still hot.

  • Fantastic pub, lovely lovely staff, good food (particularly Sunday Roast), and a brilliant quiz on Monday nights. Suffice to say I'm a regular... and this is a great pub to have as a local.

  • A local of mine that I hold dear to me. Great service, great atmosphere and very hospitable. Food is fantastic. As I live and study in Scotland I miss it. Every time I go back to London, I will always have pint or two there and relax.

  • It was dead. A drunken student attempting the theme tune from Amelie on the piano and an irate Australian Barmaid. Really disappointed. There were 3 dogs in there though
