Favourite pub in the area. Unpretentious with friendly staff and a nice outdoor bit. Have not yet tried the food though.

They have started serving food. I was sceptical at first, but had an absolutely blinding roast dinner in there on Sunday. Hands down it is the best pub roast in the Dalston region. Highly recommended!

Started coming here at the start of the 90's and still coming back 20 years later with very little changed. Superb well thought out music on jukebox, which is free (not sure if all the time) I have been drinking in London for so long now and this is still my favourite pub!! O to afford one of the lovely houses in the street its in!

A nice pub spoiled by a landlord with serious anger management issues. Avoid.

i like this pub, gets a bit too crowded at weekends but that's a good sign. ales are occasionaly hit and miss (and in reference to the other review here) there is one barman who is notorious amongst my local freinds as being grumpy and rude but the rest fo the staff are perfectly lovely so we just put up with him and slag him off behind his back

I'm afraid that I just went to this pub and have to write a review somewhere as I have never been treated so badly in my life! I have never experienced rudeness quite like it. If that's how they want to speak to people and treat people then good luck to them. I sure won't be going back.
