Looking good Durell Arms, fresh from an internal facelift this well established Fulham watering hole on Munster Road is looking ten years younger. Under the same management but revamped decor and kitchen menu the Durell Arms is on fire, pulling itself firmly into 2016 and in line with the local competition. Warm modern tones, tactile wood as well as more contemporary menu to match.I had only ever visit the Durell when the 6 nations has been on, and considered it predominantly a sport pub due to its extensive selection of screens. However on my last visit post makeover, and not a sporting event in sight I was pleasantly surprised by what it had to offer. Hands down the best Buffalo hot wings I've had in a long time, huge and crispy with the right proportion of hot, we ordered 4 for £6 pounds initially, and soon realised we should have, and could have quite easily taken the plunge and polished off 12 and £14. Accompanied by the Texan Crab Cakes, pickled white crab meat, celery, green onions, succotash, and creole mustard £7.50 The staff were pleasant if a little slow, as just getting to grips with their new ordering system, and although they were experiencing some teething technical difficulties in the form of forgetting our crab cakes, they gave them to us free of charge, so who can complain with that!
