It was my birthday earlier in the week, my boyfriend had reserved a table for us at the Princess Alice, unbeknownst to me. It was my first time there and I throughly enjoyed the whole evening. We had a cosy little couch and table area to ourselves, the whole place is lit with candles and has such an authentic vibe without feeling contrived. I found out it is one of the oldest pubs still in existence in East London and this history is being preserved beautifully. I would recommend anyone who values this kind of experience in a pub to try it out.
