London has barely a score of rooftop bars, a reflection of our unpredictable weather. But when the sun does come out, Aqua is the place to be for a sundowner cocktail. Why? Because it of its unexpected views across Soho and Mayfair rooftops, with the sun setting over Marble Arch. Aqua’s two main roof terraces are also relatively quiet and hidden, despite being right next to Oxford Circus. And with drinks costing around the £10 mark, it’s an asset having staff who will let you sit or stand on the twin terraces (Aqua Kyoto and Aqua Nueva) without even putting a drinks order in at the bar.
