Time Out says

This swanky cocktail bar really does look like a giant travelling trunk – all studded leather panels, shiny metal and tags. It’s quite dark too. It’s located in a Marriott hotel – not normally a cause for excitement, but this Marriott is on Grosvenor Square in Mayfair: one of the most regal squares in London and currently home to the US and Canadian embassies. A ‘comfort break’ necessitates an epic journey through the bowels of the hotel, following signs that point to ‘restrooms’, not ‘toilets’.
How to get in to the bar isn’t immediately obvious – best to ask the doorman, who’ll go and knock on a nearly unmarked door near the hotel’s entrance. If you’re lucky, an Amazonian hostess will let you in – it’s that sort of place.
The classic punches, martinis and cups are well made, with top-drawer spirits. Also, and usefully, the bar is only five minutes’ walk from Oxford Street, and open until 2am. With its in-the-know seclusion, cosy nooks and underground murkiness, it’s the ideal place for conducting any late-night Mayfair assignation that demands discretion – shady land deals, international prisoner rendition exchanges, a Duchess of Argyll-style aristocratic affair.
