BOD
Bodega de Tapas (to give its full name) has a good list of nearly 50 Spanish wines, with a dozen by the glass. Service is cheery and the tapas are fine. Handy for Camden Market.
BOD, 30 Hawley Crescent, NW1 8NP (020 7482 5937) Camden Town tube.
The Champagne Bar at St Pancras
The selection of fizz is a bit predictable at this new station platform bar, but none the worse for that. There are the old standards such as Moët et Chandon and Mumm at one end of the scale and, at the other end, classic names that British fizz-lovers revere. For the less bibulous, ten Champagnes are served by the glass.
The Champagne Bar at St Pancras, St Pancras International Station, Pancras Rd, NW1 2QP (020 3006 1552) King’s Cross St Pancras tube/rail.

Metrogusto
Prices are reasonable at this Islington Italian, especially in the set-price, pre-cinema menu. The wine list offers some of Italy’s best bottles at fair prices, while giving ample satisfaction under £20.
Metrogusto, 13 Theberton St, N1 0QY (020 7226 9400) Angel tube.
Odette’s
Chef Bryn Williams cooks like a dream at this revamped old-timer and the wine list is a joy for any French-wine enthusiast – though prices can be as steep as Primrose Hill.
Odette’s, 130 Regent’s Park Rd, NW1 8XL (020 7586 8569) Chalk Farm tube/bus 31, 168, 274.

shh... Negozio is tiny.... please can we not keep it a secret?
Agree with ajs, The Kensington Wine Rooms is great, and already a favourite after only 2 or 3 weeks! It´s on Kensington Church Street, not High Street. Check out the enomatic wine dispensers. Really reasonable prices, both on the wines and the menu. I also love Negozio
Completely agree with J - the wine at Gordons is shocking.
You're much better off trying a new place on Kensington High Street (towards the Notting Hill End) - Kensington Wine Rooms. Loads of excellent wines by the glass & great atmosphere, too.
Whilst it has the atmosphere yes - the wine at Gordons is a disgrace for what it costs. Its just plain bad wine at high prices. I've given it the benefit of the doubt many times - but I can honestly say the wine there is truly awful - a crying shame in my view.
