Bar Music HallThe huge central bar takes centre stage here, serving a decent selection of draught lagers (there’s also usually a guest ale), bottles and cocktails, as well as freshly squeezed fruit juices for the health conscious. There’s plenty of seating, though this is largely ignored at weekends when a top-notch roster of DJs – and pleasing lack of door tax – sees the place rammed with dancefloor-hogging club kids. During the week, things are much more sedate: gossipy office groups sprawl across the black leather banquettes, while laptop-wielding creatives nap in the quiet corners. The large windows offer a Curtain Road streetscape that makes for hours of people-watching potential – handy on jazzy Monday nights when there’s sometimes no one to look at on the inside but the barman.
