It's out with the Tiffany blue and in with a new (slightly less appealing) brown and gold scheme. And where once there were tapas to go with your tom collins, there's now Thai food (red curry, £5.95). This bar still has merit, though: cosy dimensions, atmospheric lighting, bare boards, and chandeliers; book the small conservatory at the back for a snug soirée, or sink into one of the low-slung sofas by the big window in the front. Cocktails (caipirinhas, whisky sours) are a reasonable £6.50, though the crowd is more of a wine-drinking, in-for-the-long-haul bunch; decent reds and whites start at £14 a bottle.
